Haylou GT2 Review

The Haylou GT2s case looks a lot like the QCY QS1, except from one thing.
There’s no need to bring any cables at all to charge this case, since the case now has a built-in cable for charging.

Theres also no lid, which makes it less protected agains dust and other stuff getting into it. Personally I prefer cases with lids…

It’s got a 380 mAh built-in battery, that gives us about 11 hours of extra charge. Charging the case from empty to full takes about 2 hours.

Just be aware that this case does NOT support quick/fast charging, so do NOT use a charger with this function!

The earphones look a lot like the Haylou GT1, except we now have a push button, instead of the touch sensitive area.

To control music we have the following functions:

  • Click once to play or pause.
  • Click twice on the right earphone to go to the next song.
  • Click twice on the left earphone to go back.
  • Click three times to open the assistant

Even though the earphones are quite small, weighing only 3.7 grams each, the battery lasted me 4 hours on loud volume, which isn’t bad at all. If we include the case, we should get about 15 hours total.

The microphone is ok, but there is some background noise for the person in the other end. Almost sounds like using a handsfree in a car. Taking a call now and then is ok, but I wouldn’t use them for long calls.

Regarding delay or latency, it’s the same as before. It’s not very noticeable in videos, but I wouldn’t use them for fast gaming.

Sound quality is surprisingly good, considering the price. Vocals sound nice and clear, even at higher volumes, but can sometimes be a little bit tinny in the mid range. It’s not something that bothered me at all, but it’s worth mentioning. Bass is good and punchy, but it’s not going to be enough for the most bass-hungry people out there. The volume also goes more than high enough for me. If your familiar with the GT1, the sound is about the same with the GT2.
