Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 Review

The case that comes with the BW-FYE7 looks a bit bulky, but it’s not very big. In fact, it is pocket friendly, and feels very well built.

It’s got a 500 mAh battery inside, that gives about 3-4 extra full charges of the earphones. On the front is a battery indicator, that is activated by pushing a button that’s located on the back of the case.
Charging this case takes about 2 hours.

In my opinion these earphones look very nice, but at the same time they look a bit strange. They are also rated IPX4 so they should be able to take some water splashes and sweat.

On the front is a push button, which is placed on the same line as the ear tunnels. This is in my opinion not the best placement for it, as pushing the button will push the earphone further into the ear. I found that it’s necessary to hold the earphone with two fingers while pushing the button, otherwise it gets a bit uncomfortable. But it works fine doing it this way.

Placing the earphones back into the case, will not do anything unless you close the lid. This is a feature that I like, because opening the lid will also start the pairing process, and they will be ready to use before I even manage to put them in my ears.

This also means that you must close the lid to charge them.

For controlling music, we have the following commands:

  • Click once on the left or right earphone to play or pause.
  • Hold on the right one to go to the next song.
  • Hold on the left one to go back or to the previous song.
  • Click twice on the right one to increase the volume.
  • Click twice on the left one to de-crease the volume.
  • Click three times to open the assistant.

Even though the earphones look a bit strange, they do sit very well in the ears, and do not fall out.
At first it was a bit strange to find the correct position for them in the ear, but after using them for a while it becomes easy enough.
They’re also very comfortable to wear over longer periods.

The earphones battery usually gave a bit over 4 hours per charge, at loud volume.

The sound quality is nice, and the dual drivers perform well. They deliver a very clear vocal, and the separation between instruments and vocals is very good. The balance from low to high is also nice, but I sometimes feel that the highs and mids go a bit too high, so I had to use the equalizer to get the best sound for my liking. The bass is also quite good, but you have to get a good seal with the rubber buds, so make sure you try the different sizes. The bass is both deep and punchy.
I didn’t notice any background hissing or other noise while wearing them, so that’s good, and the volume goes very high. I can’t even try playing at the maximum level.
So overall the sound is good, and very clear.

Regarding latency, it’s quite good, and I hardly notice any delay while watching videos, but I wouldn’t use them for fast gaming.

If you plan on using these for making calls, you’ll be disappointed. Because the microphone isn’t very good. You can probably make a few calls in silent areas, but it’s not very good.

Anyway, they are good for music and I really like the quality of the sound. The build quality also feels quite good, so I like using them for music and videos.
