Lige9871
Lige9871

This is my first experience with a Lige watch, and i’m positively surpriced. It’s a nice watch with a working stopwatch and nice stainless steel bands.

Design

This is a larger and rugged watch, so the size might not be for everybodys taste. It’s also a bit bulky, but I do like the design. Colors used are metal, white and black, so all the colors match well together.

Case

The case is listed as stainless steel, but it looks like it’s chrome covered. It’s definitively a bigger and slightly bulky watch, but it does look good. Buttons and the crown on the side are also big to match the overall design.

It also has a tachymeter scale on the side of the case, so you can do some calculations if you want.

Dial

The dial is nicely detailed but it looks clean, with only black, silver and white colours.

There are three “zones” in the dial:

In the outer zone, are the markers for minutes and hours. Every 10 minutes is market with text. This zone is also angled at about 45 degrees, so it’s not flat, like the rest of the dial.

The middle zone only has hour-markers, but these are luminous with a silver outline.

The inner zone has the sub-dials, date and logo. The background here is a type of asphalt pattern.

Hands are made of metal, with white areas inside for the lume. These are easy to see both in light and darkness.

Subdials are used for the chronograph, and are controlled by the two buttons on the side. Here as usual the top button is start/pause and bottom is for resetting. Buttons are nice and responsive, but there’s no click feedback.

Reading time in the dark is no problem, as the lume is good. The hands in the subdials are also lumed.

Bands

Bands are made of stainless steel and look very nice. The build quality also feels very solid with a good weight to it.

Conclusion

It’s a rough and nice looking watch, but for some it might be a bit big and bulky. If you like bigger watches this may be a good choice for you. The dial looks very nice and the lume is good. It might be big, but it still sits comfortably on the wrist.

  • Lume is good
